Video – How to Make a WordPress Blog Entry

This video is for WordPress beginners who want to learn how to make a basic blog post. We demonstrate how to login to your blog, setup a basic post, add a picture and a link to you post.

In this demonstration I will be showing you:

• How to login to WordPress
• How to add a blog entry
• How to add an image to your post
• How to add a link to your post

1. The administrative login screen at http://yourblogname.com/wp-admin
2. Login to your WordPress blog by entering your user name and password
3. Type the title of your blog post
4. Type the text of your blog
5. Choose a category for your post
6. Add New Category
7. Add Post Tags

Publishing Options

1. Press “Save Draft” to save your work for further editing
2. Press “Preview” to view the post in its current state
3. Status
   1. Pending Review
   2. Draft
4. Visibility
   1. Public
   2. Sticky Post
   3. Password protected
   4. Private
5. Schedule the Publication date and time
6. Press “Publish” to immediately
7. “Move to Trash” to delete post
